LAST DAY OF PRODUCTION?!?!

So today is the last day of production for Season 5. I was trying to find words to describe what working here was like and I was really struggling with a proper description. It's kind of like Disneyland, it's kind of like summer camp. With costume contests and surprises everyday. Your face gets sore from smiling or laughing too hard. You are surrounded with friends, family and people that love you. You are anxiously engaged in a good cause and equally creating something absurd! You're constructing a valentine to the people that deserve it the most; our children.

Thank you Cartoon Network, Teletoon, Starz/Film Roman, and DHX/Studio B for giving us the time of our lives.

Oaksdale is dead..

You know how it's best to remove a band aid quickly rather than try to minimize the pain by going slow?

There will be no season six of Connor and Sparky.

While the Cartoon Network bigwigs adore the show, merchandise still continues to sell like hotcakes, we couldn't beat Adventure Time and Gumball in ratings.

We've known for quite awhile and I apologize for not letting you all know sooner but it I didn't want to dampen the enthusiasm you all have for the show. It really lifts my spirits to read your posts.

On the plus side, there are still many produced/unaired episodes of Connor and Sparky yet to come in 2014-2015. Some of our best, I think. So please keep watching and spreading the word about Oaksdale.

TO DHX/STUDIO B PRODUCTIONS!

Hi Chris, (I don't know if Blair will be able to see this since he left Studio B last year)

I would like to extend a note to your amazing crew at Studio B for all their hard work, please pass this along.

Dear Studio B.

Now that animation has just wrapped at your Vancouver studio, we wanted to take the opportunity to send out a big thank you to the entirecrew  for all their hard work on Connor and Sparky! It has been a long and challenging road, but in the end we have created an amazing show that we should all be extremely proud of.

It is truly a testament to the hard working production staff and artists at Studio B that we were able to make such a great-looking show that is airing on international broadcast channels from the UK to Australia.

So thank you all for all the late nights, working weekends, and trudging through the cold Vancouver snow (which hasn’t stopped yet, I heard!). The show absolutely couldn’t have done without your hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to this project.

I know that I speak for everyone at Studio B when I say that we are proud of the show and we hope that you are proud too. We believe that it will be on the air for years and years to come around the world.

Thanks for all your time and talent,

All the best - Avery.

CONNOR AND SPARKY ON TELETOON'S SKATOONY

So, whilst production on the new Connor and Sparky movie is continuing in the quarters of Film Roman, we got a email from an Canadian company called marblemedia. They wanted to use the show's characters for a show they owned called Skatoony which for those of you Americans (like me) who don't know a thing about it, it's a something from the UK feed of Cartoon Network. They re-adapted it for Canadian audiences in 2009 for Teletoon which may explain why characters from Total Drama appeared in that version.

Anyway, we initally got Studio B to help out with the animation, but they weren't available at the time, so we got W!ldbrain to fill in for the B-Hive.

So check out the CA version on Teletoon this year as their already
